How to make chilled sapota / chikku drinks in hot summer

Sapota/ chikku, a tropical fruit used to make recipes like juices, milkshakes and salads. It is the best source of proteins, fat, fiber and carbohydrates. Sapota / chikku juice


  • Sapota pieces- 1 cup
  • Milk- 1cup
  • Ice cubes- 1 cup
  • Sugar- 1/2 cup
  • Chopped almond- 1/4cup
  • Chopped cashew- 1/4 cup
  • Chopped pista pieces- 1/4 cup

Step 1: Wash sapota and peel skin of it and cut into pieces.

Step 2: Add sapota pieces, sugar in a jar and blend them into a fine puree.

Step 3: Add milk, ice cubes and blend them again for 2-4min.

Step 4: Serve sapota juice in glasses, add chopped almonds, cashew nuts and pista.

Step 5: Serve chilled drink, sapota juice, along with dry nuts.

Sapota milkshake


  • Sapota – 2 cups
  • Milk- 1cup
  • Honey- 3 spoons
  • Ice cubes- 1 cup

Step 1: Wash sapota and peel skin of it.

Step 2: Make sapota into small pieces and add to the processor.

Step 3: Add milk and honey to the processor, blend all the ingredients into fine liquid.

Step 4: Serve juice in a glass and add ice cubes to the drink.

Step 5: Serve the chilled sapota milkshake

Sapota milkshake using cinnamon


  • Sapota pieces- 1cups
  • Milk cream- 1 cup
  • Sugar, as needed
  • Cinnamon powder- 1/2 spoon
  • Chopped almond slices- 1/4 cup
  • Ice cubes- 1 cup

Step 1: Wash and peel skin of sapota, cut into small pieces.

Step 2: Add sapota, cream, sugar and ice cubes to a processor and blend them well for 2-3min.

Step 3: Pour sapota drink in glasses and sprinkle cinnamon powder.

Step 4: Garnish juice with chopped almond slices.
