Ground nut masala

Peanut chaat or groundnuts chaat is a very healthy snack that can be served in tea time. It is prepared with boiled peanuts and onions. If you want you can use the vegetables and mint leaves. Boiling the groundnuts and taking the nuts out by pealing will take much time for individual so in that cases collecting all the groundnuts or peanuts after boiling and making the chaat with garam masala saves time and also gives a healthy taste.

  • Groundnuts – 1 cup
  • Butter – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon – 1
  • Salt (required)
  • Red chili powder – ½ tbsp
  • Onions – 1
  • Coriander leaves

How to Make

  • Wash the pea nuts or fresh groundnuts nicely.
  • Now cook these groundnuts in pressure cooker by adding water and salt.
  • Allow it to cook till it get 3 whistles.
  • Now turn off the flame and let the pressure goes out.
  • Remove the peel of groundnuts and collect the boiled seeds into a cup.
  • Chop the onions and coriander and keep a side.
  • Now take a bowl add boiled groundnuts seeds, chopped onions, salt, red chili powder, lemon and butter.
  • Mix all nicely.

How to Make

  • Now add chopped coriander leaves and taste it.

Note: If you like to eat spicy then add chaat masala powder. We have added lemon while preparing the recipe so the chaat gives little sour taste.

Sweet corn masala chat

I have done little experiment on this sweet corn chat. I did not use any garam masala but if you like you can add. Those who are having gastric trouble can easily eat this chat because this chat doesn’t consist of any masalas. Just a pinch of red chili powder doesn’t affect much. There is lot of ways to eat sweet corn like adding pepper, sweet corn soups or biryani etc. My recipe is quite different and it did not take much time for me once the sweet corn is ready then the procedure will be simple. No need of standing in kitchen longer or no need to wait for tasting the chaat. It only takes 5 minutes to prepare. Enjoy this tasty recipe by preparing at home.

Ingredients

  • Sweet corn – 1 cup
  • Onion – 1
  • Lemon – 1
  • Butter – 1tbsp
  • Salt (required)
  • Red chili powder or pepper powder – ¼ tbsp

How to Make

  • Cook the sweet corn in pressure cooker by adding little water.
  • Cook it till it get two whistles.
  • Turn off the flame. Allow the pressure to go out from cooker.
  • Now peel of the sweet corn and collect them into a bowl.
  • Chop the onions and keep a side.
  • Take a bowl add this sweet corn, salt, chopped onions, butter and red chili powder.
  • Squeeze the lemon after mixing the ingredients.
  • Serve it in bowl and taste the flavors.

How to Make

Note: You can also use black pepper powder or chat masala powder instead of red chili powder.
