Gongura mutton is popular recipe in Andhra. It is spicy curry with delicious taste. This curry is simple and easy to cook. Let us learn how to cook gongura mutton at home.
- Mutton- ½ kg
- Gongura- 4 bunch
- Green chillies chopped- ½ cup
- Chopped onions- 1 cup
- Ginger and garlic paste- 2 spoons
- Chilli powder- required
- Tomato slices- ½ cup
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 1/2 cup
- Turmeric powder- pinch
- Coriander leaves chopped- ½ cup
Step 1: Heat oil in a vessel, add gongura leaves, green chillies and tomato slices cook it for 10min.
Step2: Add salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder and mix it well.
Step 3: Cook it for 5min. mix it well into fine paste and off the flame.
Step 4: Clean mutton thoroughly add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and salt and marinate it for 5min.
Step 5: Take another vessel, heat oil till it get smoke.
Step 6:Add remaining onions, green chillies and drop mutton into oil, cook mutton till oil comes out.
Step 7: After mutton get boiled add gongura paste to mutton and stir it well.
Step 8: Add some salt and chilli powder if required and cook it 5min.
Step 9: Off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
