How to make amla / indian gooseberry juice

  • Amla / Gooseberry = 8-10
  • Sugar = 1 cup
  • Salt = 1 pinch
  • Cardamom powder = 1 pinch for one glass

How to make amla / gooseberry juice

Step 1: Take the amalas / gooseberries in a bowl and wash neatly.

Step 2: Let the amlas dry for 2 min.

Step 3: Take a pressure cooker and fill it with half cup of water.

Step 4: Keep the bowl which containing the amla into the pressure cooker.

Step 5: Switch on the stove and cover the cooker with a lid.

Step 6: Wait for one whistle then switch off the stove.

Step 7: Remove the bowl from the cooker after the pressure and let it cool for some time.

Step 8: Slowly press the gooseberry with your fingers and break them into pieces. Remove the seeds.

Step 9: Take a sugar and grind it into a smooth powder.

Step 10: The same way grind the gooseberry into a paste.

Step 11: Now mix the amla / gooseberry paste with sugar powder and salt.

Step 12: The amla/ gooseberry juice paste is ready and keep the paste in a freezer.

Step 13: If you want to drink the juice then take 2-3 spoons of paste into a glass of water and add cardamom powder for a flavour.

Step 14: Stir it well and now the juice is ready to drink
