How to make black pepper chicken fry

Chicken curry is the most delicious non-veg dish. It is commonly eaten in the southern Asia. It is made up of chicken with onions and tomato. Many varieties can make by the chicken. Mostly used ingredients are onions, tomatoes, garlic, chilies. Chicken curry is the one of the spicy dish which consists of rich flavors. Among them the black pepper chicken curry is the most famous item. This is best served to the persons who are suffering from cold. Pepper is used as a medicine. So having this pepper in an chicken dish gives more healthy. Lets see how to make the black pepper chicken curry.


  • Black pepper = 3tbsp
  • Chicken = 250gms
  • Cumin seeds = 2tbsp
  • Finely chopped Onions = 1 cup
  • Fennel seeds = 2tbsp
  • Ginger = 1 piece
  • Salt (to your taste)
  • Garlic = 6 cloves
  • Chopped Tomato = ½ cup
  • Turmeric powder = 1/2tbsp
  • Lime -1piece
  • Curry leaves = 2spring
  • Coriander


Step 1: Take a bowl and add chicken to it. Clean the chicken nicely by washing it with turmeric. Rinse it for 2 to 3 times neatly.

Step 2: Let’s prepare the black pepper first. Take a small bottom pan and heat it.

Step 3: After the pan get hot add the black pepper and fennel seeds to it.

Step 4: Fry it till the pepper and fennel seeds become slightly golden in color.

Step 5: Add cumin seeds and roast them till it release nice flavor smell.

Step 6: Switch off the flame and take that into a plate. Let it cool by keeping a side.

Step 7: Now prepare the ginger garlic paste. Peel the ginger skin and garlic cloves and grind them together. Don’t add water.

Step 8: Grind the roasted spices nicely till it becomes fine powder.

Step 9: Everything is ready now start cooking.

Step 10: Take a pan keep on the stove with a medium flame. Add 2tbsp of oil to it.

Step 11: Add onions and let them fry till the onions become golden brown.

Step 12: Now add the ginger garlic paste and mix well for 3minutes. Till the ginger-garlic paste loses their raw smell.

Step 13: Add the clean and washed chicken to it. Mix well.

Step 14: chicken will start releasing its juices now add salt and turmeric.

Step 15: Let it boil until its juices sinks. Then add ¾ cup of water to the chicken.

Step 16: Cover the pan by lid and allow it cook for 20mins.

Step 17: Once the Chicken absorbs the water add the chopped tomatoes and mix well. Cook it for 3mins.

Step 18: Squeeze 1 piece of lemon into the chicken and then add the black pepper powder.

Step 19: Mix them well. Cook it for 10 mins.

Step 20: Add the chopped coriander leaves and plate them with an onions and chillies.
