- Ghee = 5tbps
- Bread slices = 10
- Finely chopped almonds = 1tbsp
- Finely chopped cashew nuts = 1tbsp
- Sugar = 1 ¼ cup
- Green Cardamom = 5
- Milk = ¼ cup
Method of preparation
Step 1: Take the bread and tear them into small sized pieces.
Step 2: Add the ghee in a cooking vessel and let heat for 2mins. Now add the bread pieces and fry until they turn into a golden brown.
Step 3: Mean while grind the cardamoms, cashew nuts and almonds into a fine paste.
Step 4: Boil the milk by adding sugar to it. Stir it till it blends into a milk.
Step 5: Add the bread pieces and remaining ghee to the mixture.
Step 6: Cook the mixture in a low simmer until the bread pieces becomes soft.
Step 7: Now add the nuts paste to the mixture. Mix it well until mixture becomes thick.
Step 8: Plate the bread halwa by garnishing it with cashews and almonds.
