Coconut milk burfi is a popular dessert with cardamom flavour. It has delicious taste with cashew and pistachio nuts as toppings. It is simple and easy to prepare at home. Let us see how to make coconut milk burfi.
- Grated coconut- 3 cups
- Besan flour- 2 cups
- Sugar – 3 cups
- Milk 2 cups
- Chopped cashew nuts- ¼ cup
- Chopped pistachio- ¼ cup
- Chopped almonds-1/4 cup
- Ghee as required
- Cardamom powder- 1spoon
Step 1: Take long bottomed vessel; mix grated coconut, sugar, besan flour and milk
Step 2: At low flame stir it well without any lumps.
Step 3: After 10min, Add ghee to the mixture and stir it slowly
Step 4: After it melts, add some more if required and cook till it starts bubbling.
Step 5: Add cardamom powder for flavour and off the flame.
Step 6: Take a plate and apply ghee on it.
Step 7: Pour the mixture on plate for 20min.
Step 8: Heat ghee in a pan fry cashew nuts and pistachio for 2-3min.
Step 9: Sprinkle on sweet mixture and keep aside for 10min.
Step 10: Cut the sweet into different shapes and serve them in a plate.
