How to make drumstick leaves curry

Drumstick is rich in iron. Drumstick is common tree in India. Drumstick tree have medicinal values. Leaves of drumstick are used as medicine for infections. Drumstick leaves curry is very healthy and tasty curry prepared easily. Let us see how prepare the drumstick leaves curry with toor dhal.


  • 2 cups of drumstick leaves
  • 3 spoons of refined oil
  • 1 spoon of cumin seeds
  • 1 spoon of mustard seeds
  • ¼ sup of Toor dhal
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • 2 spoons chili powder
  • ½ spoon turmeric powder
  • 2 spoons salt
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped tomatoes


Step 1: Boil toor dal in 2 cups of water.

Step 2: Heat the pan, pour 3 spoons of refined oil let it heat.

Step 3: Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves.

Step 4: Add chopped onion, tomatoes. Let them fry in oil.

Step 5: Add drumstick leaves, chili powder and turmeric powder to it. Leave it for 5 min.

Step 6: Add toor dhal and mix well. Leave it for 5 min.

Step 7: Turn off heat.

Serve hot drumstick leaves curry with chapatti or rice
