In cool winter, everyone like to have warm and spicy soup which are easy to prepare at home within less time. Generally Soups are of different types cooked with different combinations. Now we will learn the recipe to prepare french onion soup. French onion soup is a vegetarian recipe. It is thick soup with onion flavored soup with simple ingredients. Vegetables stalks used for garnishing the soup added an advantage to its taste.
- onions- 1 cup
- White bread slices- 2
- Salt to taste
- brown onion- ½ cup
- Black pepper powder- 1 spoon
- Potato slices- 1 cup
- Butter- 1 spoon
- Milk- ¼ cup
- Parsley – ¼ cup
- Chives- ¼ cup
Step 1: Peel off the skin of onion and potatoes.
Step 2: Cut onion and potato into pieces.
Step 3: Boil onion, potato in a pressure cooker.
Step 4: Add some salt to it and cook till whistle comes.
Step 5: Stir it well till it becomes smooth.
Step 6: Heat butter on a non-stick pan and add the sieved liquid.
Step 7: At low flame boil the liquid for 5 min.
Step 8: Serve French onion soup in a bowl and add white bread.
Step 9: Sprinkle pepper powder on bread.
Step 10: Garnish with parsley and chives.
