khubani ka meetha is a popularly known hyderababi dessert and common feature in hyderababi weddings.It is made with dried apricots, Kubani is the urbu term for apricots we can also name it as apricot sweet.Did ever tasted or made it.khubani ka meetha making is so simple and easy.
So lets start making khubani ka meeta
- Dried apricots = 250 grams
- Sugar = 3-4 tbsps
- cardamoms/Elaichi(crushed) = 2-3
- Lemon juice = 1-tsp
- slices of rosted and blanched almonds
- Apricot kernals
1.Wash the apricots and in water upto 4-5 hours/over night.
2.Remove the the apricots then drain then and keep the water aside.
3.Then dee-seed and do not throw the seed, pit crack and remove the kernel
4.Take a pan with a cup of strained water and add the apricots.
5.Allow to boil 15-20 mins stirr occasionally.
6.Now add sugar and cook for 5-10 mins.when it comes to desired thick compote allow it to cool
7.Garnish with apricot kernels,almonds and serve it.
