Rice kheer is a classic sweet. To the world it is known as rice pudding. Rice kheer can be called with different names in various regions like payasam, khir, kheer. Everyone like to eat this delicious sweet. Rice kheer is very easy to prepare in short period of time.
- 1 cup Cooked rice
- 2 cups of milk
- 5 spoons of sugar
- 1 table spoon of chopped almonds, pistachios
- ½ spoon of cardamom/Ella chi
- Pinch of saffron
- 2 table spoons of dried grape.
Step 1: Boil the milk in heavy bottomed pan. Add rice to the milk leave it for 2 min.
Step 2: Add sugar to the mix. Let it boil for 15 min.
Step 3: Soak the raisins, almonds in water.
Step 4: Add raisins and almonds to the kheer mix without water
Step 5: Add the powder of cardamom. Heat the mix for 10-15 min at low flame till you get desired thickness.
Step 6: Sprinkle saffron and pista on kheer.
