Sweet corn is the variety of maize. It is rich in sugar content. Sweet corn is high in carbohydrate. It is used in the diet controlled items like soups, salads and casseroles. When adding more foods along with the sweet corn gives you more energy and nutrients. Soups are of liquid food item which is the mix of lot of vegetables. The soup is made from the stock of the vegetables. Lets see how this sweet corn is added into the soup.
How to make veg sweet corn soup at home
- Sweet corn (cream style) = 1 tin
- water = 5 cups
- Finely chopped Cabbage = ½ cup
- Chopped carrot = 1
- Sweet corn Kernels = ½ cup (boiled)
- Sugar = ¾ tbsp.
- Corflour = 2 ½ tbsp.
- Spring onions
- White pepper powder
Making of sweet corn soup
Step 1: Take a large bottomed vessel.
Step 2: Add water and cream style sweet corn in to the vessel.
Step 3: Chop the cabbage, carrot and beans.
Step 4: Add the chopped vegetables and boiled sweet corn kernels in to mix and let it boil for 5 mins.
Step 5: Take a small bowl and add cornflour of 4 tbsp to vegetable stock and keep a side.
Step 6: Now add the salt and sugar to the simmering soup and boil it for 4 mins.
Step 7: Later add the pepper powder and stir it.
Step 8: Now take the cornflour mixture which is kept aside and mix with soup until the soup gets thick.
Step 9: Switch of the stove and garnish the soup with the coriander and spring onions.
Step 10: Serve it into a soup bowls.
