How to prepare carrot pickle at home recipe

Carrot is a kind of root vegetable with lot of health benefits. It is used to prepare different recipe in different taste. Carrot recipe is tasty and spicy recipe with delicious taste. It is easy to prepare this recipe at home. Let us see how to make carrot pickle at home.


  • Carrots- 4
  • Oil as needed
  • Turmeric powder-pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder- 2 spoons
  • Hing powder-pinch
  • Lemon juice- 2 spoons
  • Fenugreek powder- 1 spoon
  • Mustard seeds powder- 1 spoon
  • Jeera powder- ½ spoon

For tempering:

  • Mustard seed- ¼ spoon
  • Urad dhal – ¼ spoon
  • curry leaves- 1 spring


Step 1: Peel the skin of carrot and cut into small pieces

Step 2: Take a bowl, add carrot pieces, salt as required and turmeric powder.

Step 3: Stir it well and set the bowl in the sun for a day.

Step 4: Later, check salt and add required amount of it.

Step 5: Add chilli powder, lemon juice, hind powder and stir it well.

Step 6: Add mustard seeds powder, jeera powder and fenugreek seeds powder and stir it well.

Step 7: For tempering, heat oil and add mustard seeds, urad dhal and curry leaves.

Step 8: Sauté it for 2min and off the flame.

Step 9: Add tempering to the carrot mixture and mix it well.

Step 10: Keep in a glass and store overnight.

Step 11: Serve in a bowl to eat.
