- Dalia dal – 2 cup
- Rice flour- ¾ cup
- Wheat flour – 3 spoons
- Plain flour- 1 cup
- Besam gram- ½ cup
- Curry leaves- ¼ cup
- Coriander leaves- 1/2 cup
- Ginger chopped- 1 spoon
- Chopped onions- ¼ cup
- Chopped green chillies- 2 spoons
- Salt- to taste
- Chilli powder- ½ spoon
- Oil to fry
Step 1: Clean and soak besan gram for 1hr
Step 2: Wash dalia dal and soak it for 30 min.
Step 3: Grind dalia dal into a thick wet flour.
Step 4: Add rice flour and wheat flour mix it well.
Step 5: Add salt, chopped onions, chopped green chillies and mix well.
Step 6: Now add curry leaves, coriander leaves, besan gram and pinch of chilli powder. Mix it well and keep aside for 3min.
Step 7: Heat oil in a long bottomed vessel.
Step 7: On other side, make wet flour into small balls.
Step 8: Press the ball evenly and dip the ball in plain flour.
Step 9: Drop in hot oil, fry it until it turns to brown colour.
Step 10: Repeat the process for all the batter.
Step 11: Serve vadai in a plate.
