Natural home remedies for dry scalp and flaky skin

The scalp contains sebum which helps to moisturize your hair and scalp. A dry and flaky scalp may result number of conditions. Home remedies for dry scalp

Coconut oil

Coconut oil has moisturizer and antiviral agent for treating dry and flaky scalp. It helps to remove the dryness and brittleness of the hair and encourage hair growth. Take some coconut oil and warm it. Take it into your hands and apply it on your scalp. Massage it in a circular motion and coconut oil gets absorbed into the scalp and moisturize it. Nourish the dry and flaky scalp. Repeat it daily for about 15 minutes until the scalp recuperates.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice is a natural exfoliate that helps to remove dry and flaky skin from the scalp. It also prevents dandruff with constant application. Take lemon juice and apply it on the scalp. Allow it to remain on the scalp and leave it for about 30 minutes. It helps to remove dead skin cells that cause problems like clogging of pores and hair fall. Apply lemon juice on the scalp and massage with your finger tips. Mix lemon juice with some olive oil that helps to moisturize your scalp.

Bean curd, lemon, and honey

Take 2 tablespoons of bean curd and honey. Add 4 tablespoons of lemon juice to it. It helps to massage your scalp and leave it for about 30 minutes. Then wash it off with mild shampoo. Continue it for best results. Repeat it once or twice a week to reduce the sessions of dryness.

Aloe vera gel

Hibiscus and honey cleanser for scalp

Prepare a paste of hibiscus leaves and apply it on your scalp. Add a teaspoon of honey, almond or coconut oil, and lemon juice that reduces dryness and flaky scalp. It also helps to decrease the dandruff.

Olive oil

Olive oil has moisturizing properties that can help in retaining the moisture on the scalp. Apply some olive oil on the scalp warm. Massage it for 15 minutes daily.
