Domed Eye shadow: This type of brush will allow you to get more specific with your eye shadow placement. Rather than blending and creating a wash like the above brush, this is great for applying stronger color on both the top and bottom lids. It can also be your brush for applying a shimmery shadow to the inner corner of your eye.4.-Domed-eye-shadow-brush

Smudge: This is essential when creating a smoky eye. First apply the eyeliner at the root of the eyelashes, and then use this brush to smudge. The short, stiff bristles will allow you to embed the product right into the lash line and get that “slept in” look.5.-Smudge-brush

Eyebrow Spoolie: When doing your eyebrows, you should always brush up and out with an eyebrow spoolie. This will soften the brow, remove any excess product, and open up your eyes.6.-Eyebrow-Spoolie

Concealer: Use a synthetic brush to apply concealer. It will get perfectly into all the small nooks and corners around your eyes and nose.7.-Concealer

Contour: This super fluffy brush is used to apply powder and blush as it keeps the powder deposit minimal.8.-Contour

Powder: You should have a large, fluffy brush for applying bronzer. Swirl it in the product and do a wash on the cheeks, forehead, and down the nose.9.-POWDER-PRUSH

Stipling: This brush is for applying foundation and cream blush (and body makeup if you wish). It will allow you to really buff the product, blending it together seamlessly with the skin.10.-Stipling-brush

Beauty blender: This is not a brush, but it’s equally as important. You can use it to apply foundation and cream blush as well as to blend concealer and layer blushes and cream bronzers.11.-Beauty-blender

Mistakes that you’ve been making with eyeliner

Eyeliner makes a huge difference—it can take a basic eye makeup application to a fully-realized look that highlights your lashes and the shape of your eye. Eyeliner can be sexy, elegant, or subtle, but it also can be harsh, overly dramatic, or sloppy depending on how you apply it.

Applying eyeliner like a professional takes a steady hand and a light touch, whether you’re going for a natural look or making a statement with your liner. Eyeliner helps in maximizing your eye contour and size. It takes a bit of experimenting, but once you’ve mastered it, eye liner will take your makeup look to a whole new level.

Mistakes to avoid while applying eyeliner

  1. Don’t overdo your eyeliner. It should blend well with the rest of your eye-makeup design, not overpower it.
  2. Avoid lining the inside rim of the lids, as it smears and accumulates up into the corner of the eye, creating a messy, unattractive look. It’s also unhealthy for the eyes, leading to redness, puffiness, and potential eye infections.
  3. Don’t apply thick eyeliner if you have small eyes as it will only exaggerate the smallness or closeness of your eyes.
  4. Avoid applying a complete circle of eyeliner around your eyes. Circling all the way around your eyes can make it look like you’re wearing eyeglasses, highlighting the eyeliner rather than your eyes.
  5. Don’t over blend your eyeliner into the skin under the lower lash line. Eyeliner can be smudged under the lower line for sexy smoky eyes, but too much smudging makes your dark circles look worse.
  6. Don’t apply mascara before you apply eyeliner. For best results, always apply your mascara after you apply your eyeshadow and eyeliner to avoid overdoing the mascara and to compensate for a lack of depth and definition along the lash line.

Pros and cons you need to know before shopping for any kind of eyeliner.

Pencil eyeliners: It tends to smear and smudge, unless you find a really good one that isn’t too creamy. Go for a retractable pencil than one that requires sharpening. After applying the pencil eyeliner, apply a small amount of eye shadow over it to avoid it from smearing and to last longer.

Gel or cream eyeliners: It offers superb application. The only drawbacks being that you have to wash the brush applicator after every use to prevent the gel or cream from hardening on the brush hairs and the look is too intense. If you don’t find those to be problems, then gel and cream eyeliners are excellent ways to go. They don’t smear and are especially great for anyone with oily eyelids or for use in humid climates.

Liquid eyeliner: It offers the most precise and definite line. Whoever is most dramatic and the most difficult to apply as it takes a steady hand? Look for liquid liner that comes with a thin brush for impressive results. If you make a mistake with liquid liner, wait for it to dry, remove it with a cotton swab dipped in makeup remover, dab the eyelid skin dry, and try again.

Apply eyeliner and eye shadow according to the shape of your eyes. eye-liner-tips

Precautions that you need to keep in mind before applying eyeliner.

Choose your colors carefully: The best thing about eyeliner is how it adds depth to your lashes and makes them appear thicker. Choose shades of dark brown, gray, deep plum, or black for the upper lid. For the lower lash line, use a softer variation of the same shade.

Types of eyeliners: There are different types of eyeliners available in the market such as Powder, Pencil, Gel, Cream and Liquid eyeliner. What type of eyeliner you want to use is purely your personal choice.

Determine if you want a thin or thick line: As a general rule, the thickness and intensity of the eyeliner should correlate with the size of your eyelid. The larger the eyelid area, the thicker yet softer the eyeliner should be. The smaller the eyelid area, the thinner, and more intense the liner should be.

Essential makeup tools that you need to carry while travelling

All the way people like travelling. When it comes to attend a party people may confused to take a makeup kit. When deciding what should go into your essential travel beauty kit, you have to decide what type of traveler you are. Are you a low key traveler who is fine with a lip balm and tinted moisturizer? Or are you a fashionista who prefers to bring all the pieces, including every shade of eye shadow and lipstick?

Like any other packing list, start with the basics and build your essential beauty kit from there. Look for items that can double up i.e., when you are thinking about what makeup to carry, try to consider products that multi-task and are not liquids. However, if you need to bring any liquid you certainly can, but it’s much less risky to pack thick creams or simply dry products.

The Basics

Sunscreen: This should be the first content of your packing list no matter what time of the year or destination as you don’t want to worry about wrinkles or sun spots later in life. Opt for a stick form sunscreen to cut down on those liquids in your bag pack.2.-Sunscreen-lotion

Lip balm: Pack a small container of Vaseline or any kind of lip moisturizer as lips are one of the sensitive parts of your skin. Go with a lip balm with SPF to give your lips some added sun protection. 3.-LipBalm

BB Cream: Packing BB cream is a great way to keep your items low, as it acts like a multi tasking lotion comprising sunscreen, foundation, concealer built into one.4.-BB-Cream

Eyeliner or brown pencil: Use your eyeliner as a brow pencil and lip liner if it’s in a lighter shade.5.-Eye-liner-or-eyebrow-pencil

Mascara: You can easily find a travel sized tube of mascara available at beauty stores. It’s a small item that can make your eyes stand out.6.-Mascara

Concealer: A small container of concealer is good for hiding those blemishes.7.-Concealer

Face wash: Washing off your makeup to keep your skin clear is mandatory. You can carry a liquid wash or a pack of wipes that suits your skin best.8.-Face-wash

Tweezers: Keep your eyebrows in check with a pair of tweezers as you would not like to take a risk by handing your brow pair under a strangers thread in an unknown place.9.-Tweezers

Clippers and Nail file: Carry some small clippers and a couple of disposable files to travel with to maintain quick foot hygiene.10.-Clippers-and-Nail-file

Eye shadow: A simple palette with at least three colors should be sufficient as it will allow you to mix shades.11.-Eye-shadow

Perfume: Try a solid perfume to save on liquids in your pack. It helps in leakage in bag.12.-Perfume

Lipstick: If you prefer some color on your lips, carry a tube or a tinted lip balm as a better option while traveling.13.-Lipstick

Powder: Compacts are more difficult to pack as there’s the risk of    breakage, but if you still want to carry it, make sure there’s something in between the mirror and powder, like a brush or cotton ball or a piece of sponge.14.-powder

Blush: Not everyone wears blush, but as with the powder, take caution to prevent breakage and spillage in your bag. Preferably pick a color that can double as eye shadow and blush to cut back on space.15.-Blush

Multi Purpose Comb: This will act as a magic wand in your travel kit as it will cut down your storage space as you no longer have to carry your hair brush kit.16.-comb

Powder Shampoo and Powder bathing soap: As you would never want to mess up your travel kit with dripping liquid shampoo or damp soap bars, try to carry these handy powder shampoos and soaps.17.-Shampoo

A woman’s makeup kit is one of her most prized possessions. Whether it’s a small makeup bag fit for travel or a CosmoCube packed with products, many secrets are held within. So keep on packing, keep on travelling and stay beautiful. One last thing you should never forget. If you’re worried about looks while on the road, just tell yourself that you will never see those people again.
