Home remedies for razor bumps

Razor burn is commonly seen in the men after they had many shaves. It is also seen in the women after shaving. This happens due to lack of some tips followed during shaving such as using a dull blade, hard soap, shaving, dry skin, frequent shaving on the same pattern. This leads to burning sensation, rash, itching, swelling, and finally forms a bump which cause a discomfort to see. So, here we are discussing some of the tips to minimize such problems.

Aloe vera

Aloe vera gel is the best homemade tip used in case of rash. As it contains the vitamin C, E & anti-inflammatory properties apart from antibacterial & fungal properties. Apply its juice on the affected area.

Tulasi leaves

As we know basil leaves are easily available in every home holds a great medicinal value. This paste is prepared and applied on the affected areas. This relieves from inflammation. This is used more effectively in healing many skin diseases. Apply the paste of a mixture containing basil leaves, olive oil, garlic, cloves, pepper onto the rash. This cures the rash.

Cucumber

Apply the paste of cucumber on the face for 10 minutes and wash it off. This gives the glowing skin by minimizing the tan on the skin.

Rosewater

Rose water acts as astringent and gives cooling effect to the tired eyes and face. Washing face with rose water helps to remove dirt from normal or oily skin and keeping the skin tone glow and beautiful.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice acts as the best remedy for acne as it removes the dirt clogged in the pores. Apply its juice directly onto the face and leave it off for 1-2 hours. Then wash it with water. We can also mix rose water in it for application.

Chamomile oil

Oil helps in the synthesis of new white blood cells by destroying the dead cells. There by this gives protection from harmful organisms. The herb is boiled and squeezes the oil. This oil is added to some water and applied onto the affected area. It slows down the irritation.

Oatmeal

This gives a good relief from inflammation and rash. Apply its oil onto the affected area. Having a bath of oatmeal is the best therapy for itching rashes. A warm oatmeal bath is best in case of serious rash.

Olive oil

This is the most preferable remedy used during rashes. The therapeutic property contained in it gives a relief from irritation.

Baking soda

Applying the baking soda onto the affected area gives relief from irritation, itching, and inflammation caused by a rash. The warm baking soda bath is best in case of serious rash.

Ice cubes

Inflammation caused by the rash can be treated by the ice cubes. Place the ice cubes on the affected area for some time for a great relief. If the rash persists for long time consult a doctor.

Cold compress

Soak a white, clean cloth in the cool water and drain out the excess water in it. This is used for cold compress for about 30 minutes. The cold compress on the affected area relieves from irritation and prevents the development of serious rashes. This soothes the skin from getting the condition too worse.

Coconut oil

Apply the pure coconut oil onto the affected area gives an anti fungal, antimicrobial, anti inflammatory action. This gives the soothing effect when it is applied. It is also used for application.

Tea tree oil

This oil has antiseptic properties help in the reduction of inflammation. Apply it over the affected areas leave for some time and wash it off later. This relieves from pain. Care to be taken because some people can cause allergic reactions due to this oil. It can be used alone or in the shampoos for application onto the scalp.

Lavender oil  

This oil gives calming and soothing effect of acne, boils, burns, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, insect bites, psoriasis, stings, etc because it contains anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties more than the other oils.

Honey

As we know honey is an excellent moisturizing agent, can also be used for treating razor bumps. Raw honey is more preferred than the normal organic honey. Rub the skin with a small amount of   honey. It gives a smooth skin.
