Most beauty conscious people are afraid of the name of winter.  Winter brings more dryness, roughness, itchy to the skin and hair and made the skin dull and glow less. It is really very important to nurture your skin during winter because the cold wind, dry air and up and down of temperature leaves a number of effects on your skin. There are several beauty products in the market for skin care in winter. But they all are chemical packed. It may be giving you instant result, but after some days you can also feel the bad effects on your skin. So it is better to use homemade remedies for winter care of your skin. Here is a list of homemade winter care solution which you can try at home for a better glowing and soft skin during this winter.

Milk to get moisturized skin

Milk is best used for moisturizing our skin. In winter due to dry air our skin becomes rough and dull. It needs to moisturize the skin regularly during the winter. Milk contains lactic acid, which helps the skin to be soft and smooth.

  • Milk with almond really works as a very good moisturizer for skin. Take 1 tablespoon of almond powder and 2 tablespoons of raw milk and mix them well as a paste. Apply this paste on your face and leave it for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes start massaging your face gently and wash it off with water. Almond contains Vitamin-E and milk works for moisturizing your skin. Application of this face pack will help to reduce skin dryness during the winter.
  • Soak a clean cotton cloth in cold milk and put it on your dry skin for 5 minutes. Then take another cloth and dip it into warm water. Use this cloth to wash off the milk from your face. Regular use of this method will give your skin a natural looking softer during winter.
  • Take 4 tablespoons milk, a few drops of rose water and lemon juice and mix them all together. Massage this mixture all over your face and body. Leave it in your body to dry for 10 minutes and then bath with cold water. It helps to moisturize your whole body.

Glycerin for soft skin

Honey to restore your skin

Honey contains the properties for restoring the softness of skin. Honey with sugar works a good natural scrub for skin during winter. Take some honey and brown sugar and blend them well. Apply this texture on your face and massage gently for 10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. It gives your skin a natural glow and softness.

Yogurt to remove dead skin

Yogurt is used for skin brightening, removing dead skin cells and cleansing. Take 1/4 cup of yogurt, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 tablespoon of milk powder and 2 yeast tablet powder and mix them all well. Make a paste and apply on your face. Leave this mixture for 10 minutes and wash off with cold water. It will give your face a fresh feeling with a soft look in winter.

Petroleum jelly for winter skin care
