Simple ways to get rid of dandruff

Yogurt to prevent dandruff

Yogurt conditions your hair and clarifies the pores on your scalp to treat dandruff. Yogurt fights against bacteria that help to prevent scaling of the scalp. It has probiotics that help to treat dandruff. This is a good source of probiotics that helps to treat dandruff. Take 1 cup of yogurt and apply evenly on your hair from root to tip. Leave it for 30-60 minutes and wash off with mild shampoo.

Olive oil to reduce dry flakes

Olive oil acts as a moisturizer used in curing dandruff. Olive oil cures dandruff and moisturizes your scalp dry area. This also prevents flaking. Olive oil can loosen those stubborn dandruff scales and is eventually fall off from your scalp. This helps to leave healthy and rejuvenated scalp. Massage with warm olive oil onto the scalp in gentle circular motions at night before going to sleep. Keep the olive oil overnight and cleanse with a mild shampoo in the morning. You can apply olive oil on your hair before a wash and stay for 15-20 minutes before shampooing.

Lemon juice to control dandruff

Rinse with lukewarm water to get rid of vinegar smell.

Baking soda for flaky scalp

Neem to get dandruff free scalp

Neem has properties to relieve itching that act as an anti-fungal property. This inhibits the growth of dandruff that causes fungus. Prepare a paste of neem leaves by boiling them and apply this gently onto your scalp. Leave it for about 30 minutes and rinse your hair with water.

Apples to stop irritation

The unripe apple is rich in procyanidin B-2, which is a natural compound that helps to promote hair growth. The untreated dandruff leads to hair fall and keeps your hair healthy.  You should ensure that you don’t add too much water to the apple juice as it can reduce the concentration of juice. Apples have an enzyme called phenolase helps to fight on dead skin accumulation. Take fresh apple juice, add two tablespoons of this juice to equal amount of water and apply it onto your scalp. Leave it for about 10 minutes and wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

Garlic to prevent seborrhea

Garlic has an excellent anti-fungal and antimicrobial property that helps to eliminate the bacteria that causes dandruff. Crush garlic and rub it into your scalp. If you don’t like the smell of garlic, then you can add honey into it and then start gently massaging your scalp. Mash garlic and make it into a fine paste. Apply it on the scalp and leave it on for about 30 minutes. Wash with mild shampoo.

Fenugreek seeds for flaky scalp

Fenugreek seeds treat flaky hair, scalp infections and prevent hair fall. Fenugreek is rich in protein and amino acids, which is good for hair growth. This is high in concentration of lecithin that helps to make your hair stronger. Soak one cup of fenugreek seeds in 3 cups of water. Let it stay for overnight. Grind it into a smooth paste by adding the required amount of water. Apply it on your scalp and leave it for 30 minutes and then rinse off.

Amla pack for dandruff control

Neem leaves are rich in anti-fungal property that helps to inhibit the growth of dandruff causing fungus. Lemon helps to break down fungus that causes dandruff. Make a paste with one teaspoon of dried amla powder, 1 teaspoon dried neem leaves powder one egg and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply for an hour before bath. Wash off with cold water. Do it twice a week.

Basil leaves to treat seborrhea

Basil leaves are best and natural home remedy to cure dandruff. Basil leaves are extensively in anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. This helps to treat dandruff and improve the strength of the scalp. Basil leaves with amla powder cured dandruff and stops from recurring. Basil leaves with amla powder mixture is used in treating dandruff. Blend them into a fine paste with a little water. Apply over the scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse with water.
