Yogurt to get rid of diarrhea

Yogurt is the first thing that comes to mind to fight this problem. Yogurt cultures the live lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidobacterium. This good bacterium kills the bad bacteria causing diarrhea.

Take 2 bowls of yogurt in a day to fight this off.

Adding banana to yogurt also works well for this problem.

Blackberries treatment for diarrhea

Blackberries are rich in tannin and are used as a folk treatment. Prepare blackberry tea by boiling one or two tablespoons of blackberries. You can also take dried blackberry leaves in 1 ½ cup of water for about 10 minutes.  Then strain the solution after boiling. Drink a cup of blackberry tea several times in a day will help you to control from diarrhea.

Fenugreek seeds to treat diarrhea

Fenugreek seeds are good for treating diarrhea. They help due to their high mucilage content that provides a strong anti-diarrhea effect. Chew one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds along with yogurt. You can just soak fenugreek seeds in yogurt overnight to curb this problem. Consume this mixture 3 times in a day.

Peppermint for diarrhea

Peppermint is used for different candies and used to flavor drinks. Peppermint is a good ingredient that is used to help relieve from stomach problems. Take a vessel and place cleaned sprigs of mint into it. Steep them for a few minutes. You can drink it when you feel thrust. Make sure the water is not hot enough anymore to burn your tongue.

Banana treatment for diarrhea

Bananas are rich in pectin, which is a water soluble fiber. It is a great source of potassium which is an electrolyte that supports a number of vital functions. Eat ripe bananas everyday till the problem subsides. Eating banana everyday is also good for health.

Apple cider vinegar to cure diarrhea

Apple cider vinegar has good properties that help to cure different problems in your body. It helps to cure diarrhea and fights against bacteria that is possible for causing the problem. Take a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and mix it in a glass of water. Drink this solution. If you can taste it directly take a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and follow with a glass of water.

Chamomile tea home remedy for diarrhea

Chamomile has an antispasmodic property that eases the abdominal pain. It helps in reducing the intestinal inflammation.

Take one teaspoon of chamomile flowers and one teaspoon of peppermint; put these in a cup of boiling water. Let it boil for 10 minutes. Strain it, and drink this solution for few times in a day.

Ginger to treat diarrhea

Ginger is an age old remedy and helps in the treatment of food poisoning and can get rid of abdominal pain.

Grate a small piece of ginger and add one teaspoon of honey. Eat it. This helps in releasing gastric juices which improves digestion. Do not drink water immediately after eating it.

Ginger tea also helps to a great extent. Just grate a piece of ginger and add it to the boiling tea. Drink it 3 times in a day.

Carrot soup for diarrhea

Carrot contains antispetic, it means that it is a high-bulk food and provides nutrients that are lost.

Wash the carrot and peel them. Cut them into pieces and pressure cooks the carrots with a little water for about 15 minutes.

Drain the liquid, add a little salt.

Consume this soup at the time you are suffering from this problem and till it is solved.

Fluids to keep dehydrated

Diarrhea causes dehydration in your body. Drink at least 8 – 10 glasses of water in a day. The body gets dehydrated with this issue. Drink a lot of fluids. Drink coconut water, vegetable soups, and barley water. If you want, you can also drink sports drinks that cannot contain caffeine. Make sure to stay away from caffeinated and alcoholic drinks. Avoid acidic drinks like tomato juice and citrus juices.

Black seed oil to prevent gas

Black seed oil is usually used for treating gas, asthma, constipation.

Take one teaspoon of black seed oil in a cup of plain yogurt. Eat this twice a day till the problem subsides.

Sugar and salt water to treat diarrhea

A lot of salts get drained during diarrhea.

Add one tablespoon sugar in a tumbler of water, add a pinch of salt and stir well. Drink this liquid. Drink this liquid as much as you can.

We are usually advised to stop taking any dairy products except yogurt. Avoid eating foods that are spicy, and high in fiber such as oatmeal. Fruits like watermelon are also not good because it is rich in fiber. Avoid eating fried foods. Follow the BRAT diet, i.e., Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast.  It is good for the stomach. Lastly, avoid the roadside food, even if you are not attacked by diarrhea. Prevention is better than cure. Hygiene is something that is important and the lack of it paves the way to all troubles.

Eating and drinking is very important at the time of diarrhea. Thus, the dehydration is from diarrhea and can be fatal in your young children and some other older adults. This is one of the most important things that can keep you hydrated. Avoid drinking alcohol, milk, soda and other carbonated or caffeinated drinks. This is due to the symptoms of diarrhea. The fried and greasy foods such as dairy products are usually not well tolerated and can decrease the bloating. So, you should avoid eating fruits and vegetables that causes gas, such as broccoli, peas, prunes, peppers, beans, corn, chickpeas etc.

Natural ways to do for diarrhea

  • The most important to replace your body’s supply is with water and electrolytes. Thus, it should include sodium, potassium and chloride. Mix the perfect electrolyte with a drink by stirring them with a half teaspoon of salt and four teaspoon of sugar to a liter of water. Mix them well and add a little bit of orange juice, lemon juice or salt substitute for potassium. Drink it full amount during the day time.
  • As fruits are rich in fructose that are hard to digest. So, it is better to avoid fruit juices.
  • Avoid foods that are hard to digest such as beans, sprouts and cabbage.
  • Eat only foods that can easily digest such as chicken broth and jell. Broth is the best choice as it supplies your body with water as well as electrolytes from the salt. You should take these clear foods for a day or two.
  • Go for a BRAT diet, such as bananas, rice, toast and applesauce. All these are bland and are soothing, such as bananas and applesauce that contain pectin. This is a type of soluble fiber that can soak up excess fluid and has an intestine that can slow down the passage of stool. The apple juice should be avoided as it can make diarrhea worse.
