Almond is a seed which is cultivated from a tree by the same name. Originally being rooted in the Mediterranean, it was transported to the other shore by us. There are two types of almond, sweet and bitter. The bitter almond contains a variant of cyanide, once this is removed, they are safe for many uses. Almonds are rich in hair friendly nutrients like polyunsaturated and mono fatty acids as well as Vitamin A, D, B1, B2 and B6. Take 3 tablespoons of almond oil and add 2 tablespoons of castor oil and 1 hibiscus flower. Heat them and leave them aside to cool down. Massage it on the scalp for about 10 minutes. Almonds for dry scalp

Almonds are best to get rid of dry scalp. Use whole raw almonds with pulses and are finely good food processor. Add honey, into that almond paste. Mix them well and use this as a natural exfoliating facial mask on a weekly basis. Similarly add some almond oil that is used to massage a dry scalp.

For soft and deeply conditioned hair: Take some warm water in a bowl. Add 5 tbsp of almond oil to another small bowl, and then place this in the water. Leave 2 minutes to get the almond oil to warm. Apply the warm almond oil to your hair, paying attention to the mid lengths and ends, then massage into the scalp. Wrap your hair in a hot water that the dipped towel and leave for 30 minutes. Shampoo your hair in a usual way.

As an aid for hair loss: Blend together an egg yolk, 1 tbsp almond oil, and 1 tbsp honey. Apply the paste to your hair and wrap a warm towel. Leave for at least 1 hour and then shampoo and rinse. This can be repeated once a week to promote new hair growth and prevent hair loss.

To reduce dandruff and dead cells: Whenever we massage our scalp with almond oil, it helps in softening the scalp tissues, dead cells and dandruff. During this process, the dandruff and dead cells are loosened up and therefore can be removed easily by washing the scalp with a good shampoo. Thus, it opens up the pores of the scalp enabling the oil to sweep into the hair roots and nourishing the hair cuticles.

To reduce scalp inflammation: Our scalp is exposed to dust, heat, pollution, chemical styling products on a regular basis resulting in inflammation. Ignorance of this problem can lead to dandruff, scalp infections, and hair falls. Regular use of almond oil on the scalp helps reduce the inflammation. Because of its high content of fatty acids, it moisturizes and softens the scalp tissues and improves the blood circulation, which helps in reducing the inflammation.
