Cashew burfi is a popular Indian dessert. It is also known as cashew fudge. This is an expensive sweet prepared in very less time. Cashew burfi is a low fat sweet with delicious taste. Ghee is used to fry cashew nut powder which adds more taste to the dessert. We can use silver foil as topping. Let us see how to prepare the cashew burfi at home.
- Cashew nuts- 250 gms
- Sugar- 120 gms
- Milk- 100ml
- Ghee- ½ cup
- Water- required
- Silver foil
Step 1: Soak cashew nuts in water overnight.
Step 2: Next day grind the cashew nuts into fine paste by adding little amount of water.
Step 3: Heat ghee in a pan fry cashew nut powder and add some milk to it.
Step 4: On other side mix the sugar into fine powder.
Step 5: Add sugar powder to cashew nut mixture.
Step 6: Add half cup of water and and heat it at medium flame.
Step 7: Boil the mixture till it turns into thick paste.
Step 8: Next stir it well and off the flame.
Step 9: Spread the mixture evenly on the plate or pan.
Step 10: Place silver foil on it.
Step 11: After 15min cut it into desired shapes.
