How to make sweet potato masala curry

Sweet potato masala curry is a vegetarian curry. Sweet potato can be cooked as curry or it can be used as a snack item. Sweet potato masala curry is delicious spicy curry.


  • Boiled sweet potatoes- 2cups
  • Chopped onions -1/2 cup
  • Chopped tomato- ½ cup
  • 1 spoon chili powder
  • ¼ spoon turmeric powder
  • Salt- to taste
  • ½ spoon pepper powder
  • Ginger, garlic paste- 1 spoon
  • ½ spoon garam masala powder
  • ¼ spoon mustard seeds
  • 1 spring curry leaves
  • Fined chopped coriander leaves- 2 spoons
  • 4 spoons oil


Step 1: Heat the pan, pour oil into it.

Step 2: Add mustard seeds, onions, tomato, curry leaves. Fry them.

Step 3: Add ginger garlic paste and fry them till the raw flavor lefts.

Step 4: Add boiled sweet potatoes to the pan. Mix them well. Leave it for 5 min.

Step 5: Add turmeric, chili powder, salt to it. Leave it for 3 min.

Step 6: For spicy taste, add pepper powder and garam masala powder.

Step 7: Mix the ingredients well. Leave it for 5 min.

Step 8: Before turning off the flame, add coriander leaves to the curry.

Serve hot and spicy sweet potato masala curry..
