How to make ice pops using summer fruit- honeydew / tarbuja / amruth tarbuja

Honeydew melon, is a juicy light green color fruit from the melon family with the combination of both bitter and sweet flavors. It contains sweet flesh which is used to make ice creams, salads and juices. Honeydew is available in all the markets. Generally, this fruit grows from august month. There are different recipes that are prepared by using this delicious fruit. Here honeydew is used to make ice pops of different flavors. These pops are very attractive in its texture and taste. Honeydew lime ice pops



  • Honeydew melon- 4 cups
  • Salt-pinch
  • Lime- 1
  • Sugar- 1/2 cup
  • Water- 1/2 cup

Step 1: In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, lime zest and stir it well. At low flame boil the mixture till sugar dissolves. Set pans aside till it cools

Step 2: In a food processor, combine sugar syrup, melon, salt. Grind them until smooth.

Step 3: Sieve the puree and remove remaining chunks from it.

Step 4: Add lime juice if needed, pour mixture in pop mold and dip stick in it and store them in refrigerator for 6-8hrs.

Step 5: Later serves to eat honeydew lime ice pops.

Honeydew melon ice pops



  • Honeydew melon-¬† 3 cups
  • Granulated sugar- 1/2 cup
  • Heavy cream- 1cup
  • Salt – 1/4 spoon

Step 1: Cut honeydew melon into small chunks, using processor, blend salt, chunks until smooth.

Step 2: Sieve puree to remove chunks from the juice.

Step 3: Transfer juice to a large bowl, add sugar and whisk them well till sugar dissolves.

Step 4: Add cream and whisk again till it combines.

Step 5: Divide mixture and pour it in pops mold. Store in refrigerator for 5-6hrs

Step 6: Serve to eat and enjoy the taste of the melon pops

Mint melon pops



  • Honeydew chunks- 2 cups
  • Lemonade concentrate- 2 spoons
  • Mint leaves- 3
  • Orange juice- 1 spoon
  • Cantaloupe- 1 1/2 cups

Step 1: Blend orange juice and cantaloupe chunks into a fine puree.

Step 2: Divide mixture into molds, store in refrigerator for 30-40min till the mixture becomes thick.
