Dizziness is always we feel every day. It may even cause fainting. It cannot be considered as a disease, but a feeling of dizziness with spinning head is always a vertigo.


Symptoms that are related to the dizziness or low blood pressure, heart muscle disease, any neurological disorder, allergies, anemia, any other type of infection a person is suffering from migraines, anxiety, and even small head injuries. The causes of dizziness include stress, hormonal imbalance, change in body, side effects of medications used, dehydration, etc.


Sometimes dizziness can even cause weakness, nausea, vomiting and even loss of consciousness. If the dizziness doesn’t occur frequently then following home remedies can be applied. If the symptoms persist longer it is better to consult a doctor.

Home remedies for dizziness 

Honey to treat dizziness

Honey is the best and can instantly boost energy level and prevent dizziness. Honey prevents low blood sugar, which is the cause of dizziness. Take 2 teaspoons of honey and raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar in a glass of cold or hot water. Mix them well and drink it 2 times a day. Another way is mix 1 tablespoon of honey and lemon juice in a glass of warm water. Drink it for immediate relief from dizziness. Alternatively, mix 1 teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder. Leave it once a day in the morning. Drink them for a few weeks to relieve from dizziness.

Ginkgo biloba herbal treatment

Ginkgo is a tall tree in China. This is an important herb in both Western and traditional Chinese medicine. This helps to leave and treat cerebral insufficiency of dizziness, poor memory and concentration and insomnia. The herb is the best and effective home remedy for dizziness. This helps to improve blood flow to the brain and prevents dizziness. The herb helps in treating tinnitus, which cause dizziness. The herb is available in the market. The liquid extract and dried leaf form is used. You can also use the standard dosage of 120 to 150 mg of ginkgo biloba extract into 3 doses daily for a couple of months.

Eat almond and pumpkin seeds for dizziness

Consume 3 tablespoon of wheat, 10 – 12 almonds and some pumpkin seeds into your diet. Mix all of them and soak the mixture overnight in water. Grind them into a fine paste in the morning. Add some cloves to that paste. Then, boil the mixture with milk. Add some sugar in it as well to make it more appetizing. Consume the mixture regularly for a few days. This helps to provide long lasting relief from dizziness.

Simple exercises to get rid of dizziness

The simple exercises that are helpful to solve the complex problems of dizziness. This helps to stand straight and move your neck in both the directions. Thus, the clockwise and anti-clockwise directions exercises help to relieve from dizziness. You can also do stand and concentrate at one fixed point and simply blink your eyes too. Deep breathing for dizziness

Sit in a comfortable place. Place one hand on abdomen area and place thumb of other hand on nostrils and close your mouth. Inhale the air slowly through nostril and then tries to fill the stomach the air. Hold the breathe for a few seconds. After 2 to 4 seconds, exhale it out slowly. Try this every day while sitting for 5 minutes every day silently.

Drink water to treat dizziness

The main cause for the dizziness can be dehydration. It can get over by drinking water in short periods and rehydrate your body and even you need to practice exercises. It can even cause other causes like vomiting or diarrhea, which lead to excessive loss of fluid from the body.

Drink ample of water every day. You can even try drinking herbal tea with the addition of little honey to it.  You can even intake soups, broths and even fruit juices.

Eat something for low blood sugar levels

Many times the cause of dizziness can be low blood sugar level, especially for diabetic patients. Even long time fasting can even be a cause of dizziness. It is recommended to intake food if you happen to hungry from long.

Try avoiding fast for a long time. Take food that is rich in carbohydrates or sugar. Even you can intake chocolates and fruits. Use fruits with high water content is best in consumption after a long hour fasting. You can even use dry fruits like cashews, almonds and walnuts.

Ginger for dizziness

Take a small slice of fresh ginger root as a whole. Or Chew small slice fresh ginger root in order to overcome dizziness. Drinking ginger tea few times a day can help in prevention of dizziness. Even you can intake ginger supplements or capsule, but consult a doctor before using it.

Lemon to treat dizziness

One of the excellent remedy for the treatment of dizziness is a lemon. It comprises of vitamin C that help in boosting the immune system and help the body in fighting with pathogens. It helps in energizing the body. It hydrates the body again and make it feel refreshed and energizing.

Take half lemon juice in a glass of water. Add sugar to it and mix it properly. It is best to drink in getting relief from dizziness.


In 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, add a pinch of black pepper and salt with one cup of water. Drink it thrice a day. 

Indian gooseberry (Amla) to get rid of dizziness

Amla can be considered as a best remedy when it comes to the issue of dizziness. It is a rich source of vitamin A and C that may help in improving blood circulation as well as dizziness and even immunity.

Take two unseeded amla and make a paste of it by grinding. Add two seeds of coriander seed and a cup of water. Let it remain for an overnight. Next morning drain it and drink the water from it. Try this remedy twice to thrice a day for better results.

Try this few remedies and you may get relieved from dizziness and even symptoms of it like nausea, vomiting, dehydration, etc.
