Home remedies for acne in teenagers

Acne is the major skin problem faced by the people of all ages but especially the teenagers. We should know that not only the hormonal imbalance in the body causes acne but also our daily activities like lack of sleep, stressful life, junk food habits, and lifestyles may also the reason for curing the acne. This can be seen mainly on face, chest, back and scalp area. We cannot overcome the hormone imbalance in the body, but can control the acne by following some of the home made ingredients to some extent. So, here we are discussing some tips for acne removal.

Baking soda

As we know baking soda is a good exfoliate, it removes the dead skin on the body; thereby it opens the pores for better circulation and clear off the acne. A paste of baking soda is prepared and applied onto the face or back. Leave it for 10 minutes and wash it off. This gives relief from acne. We can also go for baking soda with lemon juice, cinnamon powder, or honey as a paste and apply onto the face. Practicing this once in a week gives better result.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal also acts as exfoliate and removes excel oil clogged in the skin. Mixture of oatmeal, honey, and lime juice is prepared and applied onto the face. Rub this paste gently over the face for about 5 minutes and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash it off with warm water. Repeat this once in a week gives acne relief.

Fuller’s earth

Multani mitti, called as fullers earth used as a good tip or oily and acne skin. Mixture of media, rosewater, and sandalwood is made and applied onto the skin. Wash it off when dried. Repeat this once in a week gives better results.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice acts as the best remedy for acne as it removes the dirt clogged in the pores. Apply its juice directly onto the face and leave it off for 1-2 hours. Then wash it with water. We can also mix rose water in it for application.

Toothpaste

A pinch of paste is applied onto the acne spot at night and allowed to dry. Wash it off in the morning. Repeating this for 2 days will give significant effect.

Tea tree oil

Apply drops of this oil on acne spots daily 3 times. This gives acne relief, skin. If irritation, redness occurs due to concentration, then use it by diluting with water.

Orange peel

Vitamin C rich oranges are very much useful in treating acne. Dried peel is made into a powder. Make a paste of it by adding water and apply onto the spots. Allow it for 10- 15 mins and wash it off with warm water.

Aloe vera gel

Applying the juice of aloe vera onto the spots daily 3 times gives relief from acne as it contains anti- inflammatory properties.

Fenugreek

A fine paste of fenugreek leaves is applied onto the spots and allowed to dry for 15-20 mins. Practicing this thrice in a week gives acne free skin. We can also opt for the seeds, but the powder mixed with water is applied on the skin at night and wash it off in the morning. Repeating this thrice in a week gives good result.

Neem paste/oil

Neem paste also called as Indian lilac. A paste is prepared by adding water and turmeric powder to the tender leaves. Neem oil can also be applied to the acne spots. Allow it to dry for 10 minutes and wash it off. Repeating this twice a week gives acne free skin.

Papaya mask

Papaya paste is prepared and applied onto the face. Allow it for 15 minutes and wash it off with warm water. This gives acne free skin. If skin becomes too dry, apply the moisturizer after cleansing the face.

Egg white

Apply egg white on the acne spots. Allow for 15-20 minutes to dry and wash it off. This gives acne free skin.

Banana peel

Banana peel is mashed and applied onto the spots. Allow it for 20-30 minutes and wash it off, this gives acne free skin.
