Beauty benefits of leaves: How to use leaves for skin & hair

The leaves have the ability to help the skin to glow, keep it clean. It also helps to reduce pimple marks etc. Leaves not only help the skin but also for hair. They promote hair growth, reduces dandruff and hair fall. There are so many leaves that help you without knowing you. The leaves like mint leaves, neem leaves and unbelievable but believe it coriander leaves.

Uses of leaves for skin and hair

Moringa leaves

Moringa leaves are rich sources of nutrients such as Vitamin A, B, C, D and E. All these vitamins are rich sources of carrots, oranges and milk. Include vegetable juices, vegetable oil, etc., into your diet. A Moringa leaf contains 18 amino acids with the building blocks of our body and protein. They are rich in iron and have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. This helps to cure minor injuries such as bruises, cuts and burns. This helps in quick heal from injuries. Antioxidants can reduce the risk of cancer and can slow down the aging process.

Moringa leaves for healthy hair: The leaves are good for hair and scalp due to the presence of vitamins and minerals. They are used to cleanse the hair and scalp. This helps to prevent hair damage, dandruff, dry and lifeless hair. Thus, the leaves also increase blood circulation of the scalp and help to boost hair growth. The blood circulation increases, hair follicles and increases nutrients that help to lead to a strong and healthy hair.

Moringa leaves to get rid of acne for beauty care: A Moringa leaf is best for acne treatment and is used in many cosmetic products. This has many therapeutic and skin purifying properties. Take a handful of Moringa leaves and grind them well by adding a little amount of water. Prepare a smooth paste and apply this paste on your face. Leave it for about 15 – 20 minutes. Betel leaf for beauty care

Betel leaf is a vine that belongs to the piperaceae family, which is a pepper and kava. It has mild stimulant and medicinal properties.

Prevents skin problems: Betel leaf is rich in antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. This helps to relieve itching, swelling of the skin and is faster to recover. Betel leaf helps to reduce skin itching due to allergies or skin problems. Take 10 – 12 betel leaves and boil them in hot water. Don’t boil for too long; make sure that the leaves wilt immediately turn off the heat. Boil water and mix the water before you shower. Soak the hands and feet in it. This helps to reduce itching and skin problems.

Reduces acne: Betel leaf has antibacterial and antiseptic properties to reduce itching and treat acne. Use the betel leaf boiled water to rinse the affected skin to get rid of acne. Alternatively, dip a clean cloth in betel leaf boiled water. Wipe them and apply it on acne skin. Repeat it twice a day for better results.

Coriander leaves

Coriander leaves are used in cooking to get the flavor. But originally it has anti-allergic properties. It helps in treating skin inflammation, high cholesterol levels, diarrhea, mouth ulcers, anemia, indigestion etc.

Face pack for pimples: Take some coriander leaves and grind them. Add a little water and pinch of turmeric to form a thick paste. Add 3 drops of lemon juice into it. Apply this paste on your face and then wash it off with water. It will help to get rid of pimples.

Hair pack to reduce dandruff: Take a bunch of coriander leaves and boil them with enough water. Let it cool down and then remove the leaves from it. Squeeze the leaves and then add a few drops of lemon juice in water. Use this water as rinsing water. You need to just rinse your hair and leave it for 20 minutes. Then wash it off with water. It helps to reduce dandruff.

Neem leaves

Neem leaves have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory agents. It has anti-fungal agents that destroy you fungi which cause athlete’s foot, ringworm and nail fungus.

It improves liver functionality, detoxifies the blood, and promotes a healthy respiratory and digestive system.

Face pack for fair skin: Take a handful of neem leaves. Boil them in water for about 30 minutes, and then strain the water. Store this water in a glass bottle and you add this water in your face packs. These results better to get fair skin.

Face pack for pimples: Take neem leaves and grind them into paste. Apply this paste on your face, avoiding eye area and leave it for about 10 minutes. Then wash it off with water. It helps to reduce pimple and its marks too.

Hair packs for dandruff: Take a handful of leaves or more. Wash them properly and let it dry, i.e., only water should go from the leaves. Then keep coconut oil for boiling. Let it boil for 15 minutes. Put the washed and dried leaves into the boiling coconut oil and let it boil for 20 minutes. Let it cool and then squeeze out leaves from the oil. Apply this oil on your hair from root to tips.

Mint leaves

Mint it mainly used for mouth and breath freshener. It helps to improve digestion, respiratory disorders, asthma, depression, skin care, pimples, memory and weight loss etc.

Face pack as a toner: Mint leaves can be used as a toner. It really works better and you need to just take mint leaves with water. Boil them and strain the solution. Use this mint water as a toner for the skin. Water becomes cold and then takes a cotton roll dip in this water. Apply it over your face. Let it sit for a few minutes and then wash it off with water.

Face pack for pimples: Apply the boiled and strained mint leaves. Apply this paste on pimples. Leave it for about 10 -15 minutes. Then wash it off with cold water.

Hair pack for hair growth: Add a few drops of fresh mint leaves in shampoo, then rinse your hair with this solution whenever you shampoo your hair. It works best to promote hair growth.

Curry leaves

Curry leaves are natural flavoring agents. It makes your food healthy and tasty. It has antioxidant properties and has the ability to control diarrhea, gastrointestinal problems like indigestion, excessive acid secretion, peptic ulcers, dysentery, diabetes, and unhealthy cholesterol balance.

Face pack for pimple and pimple marks: Take a bunch of curry leaves and grind them into a fine paste. Add a few drops of lemon juice and apply this paste on your face. Leave it for about 10 minutes. Then wash it off with cold water. It helps to reduce pimple and pimple marks.

Hair packs for hair growth: Boil a bunch of curry leaves with coconut oil. Remove the leaves when they turn black in color. Let it cool for some time. It’s a cool store in a glass bottle. Apply this oil whenever you oil your hairs. Apply this oil before you are going to your bed. Leave it, at least for 4 – 5 hours before you go to head bath. It stimulates your hair growth.
