  • Soak your feet in lemon juice for approximately ten minutes. Lemon juice is a mild acid that helps to dissolve dead and dry skin for easy removal. Use a soft foot brush to scrub your feet after you soak them. You may want to wait until any cuts or healed before trying this.
  • Wash feet daily with warm, soapy water. Don’t use hot water because it dries out the skin. Hot water is also harmful to diabetics and anyone else with impaired circulation to the feet.
  • Mix a spoonful of olive oil and a few drops of lemon or lavender oil to create a moisturizing cracked-heel cream. Shake the ingredients until they form a thick, milky solution and use when needed. Shake before each use.
  • Exfoliate the feet, especially the heels, while washing. Use a wash cloth, pumice stone, and rub the skin gently to slough off dead skin.
  • Apply vegetable oil to your feet after bathing, especially in the area of the cracks. After application, wear thick socks. Try doing this at night before bed and wearing your socks to bed. You should see results within a few days.

Exfoliate in the morning.
  • Foot soaks are relaxing and helpful if done properly. Limit foot soaks to 10 – 15 minutes, 3 times a week. Soaking for long periods dries out the skin. Use a solution of 1/4 cup white vinegar and enough warm, never hot, water to cover the feet up to the ankles. Mild acetic acid in vinegar softens dry skin. Exfoliate. Dry thoroughly. Moisturize. Put on clean cotton socks.
  • Prepare a solution from half cup of milk and half teaspoon turmeric powder. Massage your feet with it and leave it for a few minutes. Then wash it after 20 minutes in cold water. Cracked heels and dead skin on the feet will cure soon and your feet will look beautiful.
  • For an overnight treatment, try the following:  massage, olive oil mixed with a bit of white vinegar or lemon juice over the feet, concentrating on the heels. Honey is a natural moisturizer so if you want, put some in your mixture. Put on cotton socks. In the morning, wash it off. Exfoliate, dry thoroughly, and moisturize.
  • You need to boil 5 bay leaves in 1 litre water for 5 minutes. Sieve it and soak your feet in this lukewarm water for half an hour. Repeat it once in two days. It is very good for your foot care at home.
  • Soak few bread pieces in small amount of milk to make a thick paste. Add 2 teaspoon glycerin, 2 teaspoon almond oil, and juice of half lemon in it. Then massage your heels and lower feet from this paste and wash after few minutes. Apply it daily then your heels will become soft and beautiful.
