Remedies for whitening dark underarms

A black underarm causes an uncomfortable situation. Removing unwanted hair from the body, especially from the underarms is a really tricky job. Women usually prefer to go for waxing, use hair removal creams or simply shave off the hair. The more methods that can be used for underarm hair are like waxing; with this the skin tends to look dark and unclean. Some causes armpit is colored black, genetic and never use any lotion as bleach. Especially when you have to use a T-shirt kind of bra it seems to be very embarrassed when you lift your arms.

Natural remedies to whiten the dark underarms

Lemon used as a scrub

Lemon has many beauty benefits that it acts a natural bleaching agent. It lightens dark spots and whitens the skin. It also removes dead skin cells. You need to just massage your armpits with lemon juice. Or you can use a freshly cut lemon or apple lemon juice. Apply lemon every day before you are going to shower. Avoid deodorants for a few days. In order to get rid of body odour, mix baking soda with water. Wash your underarms with this solution to avoid body odour.

Baking soda

Baking soda exfoliates your dark underarms. This will help to remove dead skin cells. Mix baking soda with water to form a thick paste. Use this paste to scrub your underarms. Wash it off and pat dry. Then wash off with water. Repeat it a few times a week. It helps to unclog skin pores.

Vinegar

Vinegar has the property to lighten skin tone. It also kills germs and bacteria that feed on dead skin cells, which causes underarm odor. Mix rice flour with vinegar to form a thick paste. Take a hot shower and then apply this paste on your dark underarms. Leave it for about 10 – 15 minutes. Then wash off with warm water. Repeat it for few times in a week to get better results.

Cucumber and turmeric

Cucumber has skin lightening properties. You can also combine lemon juice into cucumber to get good results. Mix some lime juice with cucumber juice and add a pinch of turmeric to it. Lemon bleaches and removes dead cells where as cucumber provides cooling effect and turmeric prevents discoloration. Simply cut cucumber into pieces and rub it on your underarms. Or apply the pure of cucumber to your dark underarms. It lightens your skin within few days.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil will help to get rid of dark underarms. Coconut oil contains vitamin E that can help to lighten the underarms. It works as a natural deodorant. Massage the dark underarms with coconut oil. Leave it for about 10 – 15 minutes. Wash it off with mild soap and lukewarm water. Repeat 2 -3 times daily to get desired results.

Potatoes to whiten dark underarms

Potatoes are rich in mellow acids so it better to utilize potatoes to whiten dark underarms. Take a piece of potato and rub your underarms with it for about 5 -10 minutes. Then wash off with tepid water. Or grind a potato and blend juice from it. Apply this juice to your dark underarms with your fingers or cotton ball. Leave it off for 10 minutes. Then wash off with water. Repeat it twice a day to get good results.

Sandalwood and rose water

Sandalwood also lightens skin tone. Mix sandalwood powder and required amount of water to become a thick smooth paste. Apply this paste on your skin and leave it for 15 minutes. Then wash off with cold water. Repeated use of this pack results within few days

Orange peel and milk

Orange peels can lighten the skin under the arms. Peel orange juice and dry out completely. Grind the dried peels to a fine powder. Mix two teaspoons of powdered orange peels with enough rose water. Add milk to make it into a thick paste. Gently scrub your underarms with this paste. Leave it for about 10 – 15 minutes. Then wash off with cold water. Repeat this 2 – 3 times a week.

Milk

Milk has fatty acids and minimizes underarm darkness. It will soften the skin and lighten your skin tone. Mix two tablespoons of full fat milk, one tablespoon flour and one teaspoon of plain yogurt. Mix all the ingredients to become a thick paste. Apply this paste on your dark underarms. Leave it for about 15 minutes. Then wash it off with cold water. Repeat a few times a week results better.
